Installation Instructions

What you’ll need

  • Tape measure
  • Pencil
  • Level or laser level (recommended)
  • Clean cloth + mild cleaner (or sugar soap) and warm water
  • Sharp utility knife with spare blades
  • Fine-tooth saw or circular saw (recommended for straighter cuts)
  • Optional: construction adhesive (for textured/low-grip walls or extra hold)
  • Optional: roller (wallpaper seam roller) to help press down firmly

Step-by-step

Step 1 — Prepare the wall
Step 1 — Prepare the wall

Walls must be clean, dry, smooth and dust-free. Wipe down with sugar soap (or mild cleaner) and allow to dry fully. Avoid applying to freshly painted walls—ensure paint has cured.

Step 2 — Plan your layout
Step 2 — Plan your layout

Choose your starting edge and mark a straight reference line with a level. Decide slat direction and spacing (keep joins and edges consistent for the cleanest finish).

Step 3 — Dry-fit first
Step 3 — Dry-fit first

Hold each panel in position before sticking to confirm alignment, height and cut points (especially around skirting, corners, power points and trims).

Step 4 — Cut to size
Step 4 — Cut to size

Measure and cut panels to fit. For best results, use a fine-tooth saw for straight cuts. A sharp utility knife can be used to trim felt and small adjustments. Measure twice, cut once.

Step 5 — Peel and position
Step 5 — Peel and position

Peel the backing gradually (don’t remove it all at once). Align to your reference line, then press from the centre outwards. Keep edges tight and straight as you go.

Step 6 — Press firmly for a strong bond
Step 6 — Press firmly for a strong bond

Apply firm, even pressure across the entire panel (hands or a roller). Pay extra attention to edges and corners. If your wall is textured or paint is low-grip, add construction adhesive for extra hold.

Step 7 — Continue and align panels
Step 7 — Continue and align panels

Work panel by panel, checking alignment as you go. Keep slats parallel and maintain consistent spacing at joins for a seamless feature wall look.

Step 8 — Final check and finish
Step 8 — Final check and finish

Do a final firm press along all edges and joins. If you’re adding trims or finishing strips, install them last for a clean, professional finish.

Tip:
For best adhesion, avoid installing on rough/textured walls, dusty surfaces, or walls exposed to moisture. If you’re unsure about your surface, use construction adhesive for added security.

Yes. The panels feature a peel-and-stick backing and are suitable for DIY installation. No specialist tools or trades are required.

They should be installed on clean, dry and smooth interior surfaces such as painted plasterboard, sealed walls or cabinetry. For best results, ensure the surface is free from dust, grease and moisture.

Yes. Panels can be trimmed to size using a sharp utility knife or fine saw to fit around power points, edges or custom layouts.

In most cases, the self-adhesive backing is sufficient. For textured walls or added security, a construction adhesive can be used.

They feature a timber-look veneer on the front with an acoustic felt backing that helps absorb sound.

The timber veneer can be lightly sanded and painted or stained if you wish to customise the finish prior to installation.

No. These panels are designed for dry internal spaces only. Prolonged exposure to moisture may affect adhesion and performance.

These panels are designed for vertical wall installation. Ceiling installation is not recommended due to weight and adhesive limitations.

Light dusting with a soft cloth or vacuum brush attachment is recommended. Avoid water and harsh cleaning products.

Panels can be removed, however some adhesive residue or minor paint damage may occur depending on the wall surface. Gentle heat can assist with removal.
