Our Adhesive Vinyl Wraps are designed to refresh smooth, flat surfaces such as kitchen cabinets, cupboard doors, drawers, benchtops, desks, tables, shelving, splashback panels, wardrobes and furniture.

They are a great option if you want to update the look of a space without replacing cabinetry or doing a full renovation.

Are the vinyl wraps peel and stick?

Yes. Our Adhesive Vinyl Wraps come with a self-adhesive backing, so you simply peel away the backing paper and apply the wrap directly to a suitable surface.

What surfaces can I apply the vinyl wrap to?

The wraps are best suited to smooth, flat, clean and non-porous surfaces such as:

• Laminated cabinetry
• Melamine
• Painted timber
• Smooth MDF
• Desks and tabletops
• Shelving
• Wardrobe doors

• Benchtops
• Furniture panels

For best results, the surface should be clean, dry, dust-free and free from grease, silicone, flaking paint or loose material.

Yes. Kitchen cabinetry is one of the most popular uses for our Adhesive Vinyl Wraps. They can be applied to cabinet doors, drawer fronts, side panels and other smooth cabinetry surfaces to create a fresh new look.

Can I use Adhesive Vinyl Wraps on benchtops?

Yes, our Adhesive Vinyl Wraps can be used on benchtops and other flat surfaces. However, like any decorative vinyl surface, care should be taken to protect the finish.

We recommend using chopping boards, placemats and trivets, and avoiding cutting directly on the wrap or placing hot pans directly on the surface.

Are Adhesive Vinyl Wraps waterproof?

The vinyl surface is water-resistant and suitable for everyday splashes and general indoor use. However, the edges and joins should not be left exposed to standing water or constant moisture.

For best results, wipe up water promptly and ensure any exposed edges are properly pressed down and sealed where needed.

Can I use Adhesive Vinyl Wraps in bathrooms or laundries?

Yes, provided the surface is smooth, clean, dry and suitable for adhesion. They can be used on vanity fronts, cabinetry, shelving and other low-splash areas.

We do not recommend using them inside showers, directly around baths where water pools, or in areas with constant water exposure.

Can I use Adhesive Vinyl Wraps as a splashback?

They can be used in low-splash areas, but they are not designed to replace glass, stone, ceramic tile or other traditional splashback materials.

We do not recommend installing Adhesive Vinyl Wraps directly behind gas cooktops, open flames or areas exposed to constant heat.

Are Adhesive Vinyl Wraps heat-resistant?

Yes. Our Adhesive Vinyl Wraps can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C.

This makes them suitable for many indoor decorative applications, including cabinetry, furniture, desks, shelves, drawers and other smooth surfaces. However, they should still be kept away from direct flames, hot pans, kettles, toasters, air fryers, oven vents and other high-heat sources.

Can I use Adhesive Vinyl Wraps near a cooktop?

We do not recommend installing Adhesive Vinyl Wraps directly behind a gas cooktop, near open flames, or in areas exposed to direct heat.

Although the wraps are flame retardant and can withstand temperatures of up to 100°C, they are still a decorative vinyl product and should not be treated as a fireproof splashback material.

Are Adhesive Vinyl Wraps flame retardant?

Yes. Our Adhesive Vinyl Wraps have a B1 flame-retardancy level.

In simple terms, B1 means the material is flame retardant and more difficult to ignite than standard combustible materials. It is designed to help reduce the spread of flame under certain conditions.

This does not mean the product is fireproof, fire-resistant or suitable for direct flame exposure. It simply means the material has improved flame-retardant properties compared with normally flammable materials.

What is the difference between flame retardant and fireproof?

Flame retardant means a material is designed to slow ignition or reduce flame spread under certain conditions.

Fireproof means a material can withstand fire without burning or being damaged.

Our Adhesive Vinyl Wraps are B1 flame retardant, but they are not fireproof and should not be exposed to direct flame or extreme heat.

How do I prepare the surface before applying the wrap?

Clean the surface thoroughly before installation. Remove any dust, grease, oil, wax, silicone residue or cleaning product build-up.

For kitchen cabinetry and benchtops, we recommend using a suitable degreaser first, then allowing the surface to dry completely before applying the wrap.

Do I need any special tools to install Adhesive Vinyl Wraps?

No specialised tools are required, but we recommend having the following ready:

• Measuring tape
• Sharp utility knife or Stanley knife
• Scissors
• Squeegee or smoothing tool
• Microfibre cloth
• Ruler or straight edge
• Hair dryer or heat gun on a low setting for edges and corners

Are Adhesive Vinyl Wraps easy to cut?

Yes. The wrap can be cut with a sharp utility knife or scissors. We recommend measuring carefully and cutting slightly larger than required, then trimming the excess once applied.

Always use a sharp blade for a cleaner finish.

Can I wrap around corners and edges?

Yes. Adhesive Vinyl Wraps can be wrapped around smooth corners and edges. Gentle heat from a hair dryer can help soften the vinyl and make it easier to mould around edges.

Avoid overstretching the wrap, as this may affect the pattern, shape or finish.

How do I avoid bubbles during installation?

Apply the wrap slowly and use a squeegee or smoothing tool as you go. Work from the centre outwards to push air towards the edges.

If small bubbles appear, you can gently lift and reapply the wrap during installation. For tiny trapped air bubbles, you can carefully prick the bubble with a fine pin and smooth the air out.

Can I reposition the wrap during installation?

You can usually lift and reposition the wrap carefully during installation, particularly before firm pressure has been applied.

Once the adhesive has fully bonded, it becomes harder to remove and reposition without stretching or damaging the wrap.

How many rolls will I need?

The number of rolls required depends on the size of the area you are covering and the dimensions of the roll.

Measure the height and width of each surface you want to cover, then calculate the total area. For cabinetry and furniture, remember to allow extra material for wrapping around edges, trimming, pattern direction and any joins.

Should I order extra material?

Yes, we recommend ordering slightly more than your exact measurements.

This allows for trimming, mistakes, pattern direction, wrapping around edges and any joins required across larger surfaces.

Where should I place joins if I need multiple rolls?

Where possible, place joins in less noticeable areas, such as:

• Along natural cabinet edges
• At the edge of cupboard doors or panels
• Inside corners
• Under benchtop lips
• Along vertical panel breaks
• In areas partly hidden by appliances or furniture

For larger flat areas, plan your joins before applying the wrap so the design direction looks consistent.

Will the pattern line up across multiple pieces?

Some designs are easier to align than others. Timber, marble and stone-look designs can have natural variation, so exact pattern matching is not always possible.

For the best result, lay the pieces out first and check the pattern direction before cutting and applying.

Can I apply Adhesive Vinyl Wraps over existing paint?

Yes, provided the paint is smooth, fully cured, clean and firmly bonded to the surface.

Do not apply the wrap over flaking, peeling, chalky, rough or freshly painted surfaces.

We do not recommend applying Adhesive Vinyl Wraps to heavily textured, rough, uneven or porous surfaces, as the adhesive may not bond properly and the texture may show through the wrap.

The smoother the surface, the better the final result.

Can I use Adhesive Vinyl Wraps on curved surfaces?

They can be used on gently curved surfaces, depending on the shape and condition of the surface. Gentle heat can help the vinyl become more flexible during installation.

They are not recommended for highly detailed, heavily curved or uneven surfaces where the wrap may need to stretch excessively.

Can I remove the vinyl wrap later?

Yes, the wrap can generally be removed, especially from smooth, sealed surfaces. Applying gentle heat with a hair dryer can help soften the adhesive and make removal easier.

The condition of the surface underneath will affect how cleanly it removes.

Will the wrap damage the surface underneath?

On most smooth, sealed and stable surfaces, the wrap should remove cleanly. However, if the surface underneath is poorly painted, flaking, damaged, porous or not properly sealed, removal may lift paint or surface material.

We recommend testing in a small hidden area first, especially on painted or delicate surfaces.

Longevity depends on where the wrap is installed, how well the surface was prepared, and how the area is used.

On suitable indoor surfaces with proper installation and care, the wrap can provide a durable decorative finish. High-use, high-moisture or high-heat areas may experience more wear over time.
