Frequently Asked Questions - Acoustic Wall Panels
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our Acoustic Peel & Stick Wall Panels, including materials, installation, sound performance, care and finishes.
A real PVC wood veneer face over an acoustic felt core, with a self-adhesive backing layer. All materials used are formaldehyde-free.
Panels measure 1200mm (H) x 600mm (W) x 20mm thick, with 25mm wide slats and a 15mm gap between each slat. Each pack contains 2 panels, covering approximately 1.44mΒ² (0.72mΒ² per panel). Available in three finishes:
- Nordic Oak β light blonde tone with subtle natural grain, a soft Scandinavian-inspired look
- Walnut β warm mid-brown tone with rich, natural timber grain
- Charcoal Oak β deep charcoal tone with bold, contemporary grain texture
Suitable for: painted walls, plasterboard/drywall, smooth timber, smooth cement render, MDF panels, laminate and melamine.
Not suitable for: wet areas or bathrooms, exterior use, textured or rough walls (without extra adhesive), dusty or unsealed surfaces, and freshly painted walls until the paint is fully cured. These panels are designed for dry, internal use only.
Five steps: (1) clean, dry and prep the wall surface, ensuring any paint is fully cured; (2) plan your layout and mark a level reference line; (3) dry-fit panels and cut to size with a utility knife or fine-tooth saw; (4) peel the backing gradually and press from the centre outward; (5) apply firm, even pressure across the panel and all edges. No nails, glue or specialist tools required β suitable for both DIY and trade installation.
For textured or low-grip walls, we recommend using a construction adhesive alongside the self-adhesive backing for extra hold.
The acoustic felt core reduces reflected room noise by approximately 2β5 dB, noticeably improving echo and speech clarity. This is an indicative reduction only β it varies with room size, surface coverage and layout, and is not a certified lab NRC/Rw rating. These panels reduce echo and reverberation; they are not designed to fully soundproof a space.
Yes, panels can be removed. Minor adhesive residue or paint damage may occur depending on the wall surface underneath β gentle heat can assist with removal.
Light dust with a soft cloth or a vacuum brush attachment. Avoid water and harsh chemical cleaners.
Bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, media rooms and feature walls β anywhere you want to add warmth, texture and acoustic comfort. Also suitable for commercial fit-outs, and suitable for both DIY and trade installation.
