Frequently Asked Questions - Vinyl Floor Stick on Tiles
What are peel and Stick on Vinyl Floor Tiles?
Our new peel-and-stick Vinyl Floor tiles are self-adhesive and are suitable to use over existing floor tiles and a range of other surfaces. Made from a PVC material our floor tile range is bold in designs and colours for many homeowners and passionate DIY renovators alike who desire something easy to install but aren't willing to sacrifice style. Much like our other Stick-on Tiles range, they require no grout, are easy to clean, affordable and can dramatically makeover your space instantly.
What surfaces can I install the Vinyl Floor Stick-on Tiles on?
Our Vinyl Floor Stick-on Tiles are designed to install directly over:
- Existing tiles (ceramic, porcelain, marble, etc.)
- Smooth concrete floors
- Smooth wood floors
- Composite flooring
- Standard gyprock and plasterboard (for wall features or splashbacks)
Just ensure your surface is clean, dry, and in good condition before installation — no sanding or special prep needed in most cases.
These tiles are also great for splashbacks or other wall décor features. For an even more seamless, waterproof finish, we recommend applying all-purpose silicone along all edges.
Can I use the Floor Tiles on a Wall?
Whilst our floor tiles come with an adhesive backing for convenient installation on horizontal flat surfaces, certain situations may require a stronger adhesive or spot fixes for optimal performance, such as a wall/splashback. In these cases, we recommend this solvent-free, water-based adhesive. It provides strong bonding power, is low in odour, and is easy to clean up. Designed specifically for vinyl tiles and flooring, it works effectively on timber, concrete, and fibre-cement surfaces, ensuring a secure and lasting finish.

What dimensions are the Vinyl Floor Stick on Tiles?
Our Vinyl Floor tiles measure at 30 cm by 30 cm, further information on our Vinyl Floor range can be found on each item in the product information. There is a tile calculator on each page to help confirm the amount needed for your project space.
Can I use Stick on Tiles in wet areas such as showers?
Our Vinyl Floor Tile range is water-resistant and features a P3-rated anti-slip surface, making it suitable for use in bathrooms, powder rooms, and other wet areas
While we do not typically recommend installation inside showers due to ongoing water exposure and elevated temperatures that may affect the adhesive, some customers have chosen to install the tiles in these areas by taking extra steps to improve water resistance. These include:
- Sealing all perimeter edges and corners with waterproof silicone.
- Using silicone or epoxy grout to fill joins and prevent water ingress.
These additional measures can enhance the longevity of the tiles in wet areas. However, if you choose to install them in environments such as shower floors, it is done entirely at your own discretion. As this falls outside our standard installation guidelines, we are unable to guarantee performance or accept responsibility for any issues that may arise. That said, thousands of customers have safely installed our vinyl floor tiles in bathrooms and laundry areas using these additional waterproofing steps — achieving great results in DIY and rental spaces alike.
Can I remove the Stick on Tiles?
Yes, these tiles can be removed in the future, however they may leave adhesive residue or lift any paint off in the removal process. We recommend you first heat up the adhesive glue using a hair dryer and then slowly peel them off.
How many sheets of tiles will I get?
We sell all our tiles by the sheet (single sheet) as well as in packs of 10, 20, 30 etc. That way, you can get the exact amount you're after for your project space. You can use the Tile Calculator to confirm the total amount needed for your space.

For a guy who can’t hammer in a nail, my laundry renovation with stick on tiles has fooled everyone. Easy!!!!!
The tiles arrived in just a few days. Lovely product, the colour is a little bit stronger than it looks in photos, which really nice.
These look fantastic, and are incredibly user friendly for DIY novices. So happy with the way they look, so happy with how easy they were to lay, so easy to cut to size where necessary and would definitely recommend. Thankyou also to the customer service response to my call, it was very reassuring to deal with a real person on the phone. Would give 6 stars if that was an option!
Tiles were more grey-blue than the picture, which looks white. Some tiles had sticky residue on the face side which I am struggling to remove. Delivery was a bit of a schmozzle; admin tried to assist as best they could. Wasn't the best first impression but I would order again as I do like the product and hopefully the second time is better.
Value for money & good quality
Quick and easy to install. Looks stunning.
Love this tile - Jake was very helpful - thank you so much still a little to finish off but very happy
We are so in love with these tiles, they slightly change colour in the different lighting - which we adore, See my before and after photos !!! We installed these in our caravan kitchen as our splash back. My partner being quite handy had no problems installing - we are more in love with our caravan then ever before! Thanks guys, 5 stars they are so beautiful!
Ordered sample tiles and they arrived in Melbourne in super quick time!! Customer service is brilliant. Very quick to respond questions. Absolutely recommend Stick on Tiles Australia.
So easy to install. Loved all the colour selections . So happy with my orders
We purchased the subway tiles for behind out kitchen sink and couldn’t be happier. They were extremely easy to work with, no mess, no fuss and look amazing.
I’m really happy with this product as the quality is excellent, the adhesion is strong, and they’re easy to use. We used these to cover our existing laundry tiles, which were chipped and cracked after removing an old leaking sink unit. These stick-on tiles were ideal as there was no need to remove the old tiles and we could extend them right across the backsplash. They’re thick enough to mask the underlying grout lines between the old tiles and also adhered beautifully to plywood, which we added to level out the wall.
Cutting them took a bit of elbow grease (thanks to awkward shapes around taps and having a blunt utility knife, etc.), but the finish was worth it. I debated between the white and natural stone options, and I’m glad I went with the matte white as it looks perfect in our laundry.
I decided to grout them (not necessary, but I liked the look) and used standard cement grout from Bunnings, which I wouldn’t recommend, as the shallow indents caused a few small cracks after a mini earthquake the night I finished! I’ll redo it later with a more suitable flexible grout.
The only minor issue is that our base tiles weren’t perfectly even, and that does show slightly. This is not a big deal for us, but perfectionists will want a completely flat base.
Delivery and customer service were excellent, even to our regional area. I’m so pleased with the result and will definitely use these again for future projects. Guests are always surprised when I tell them they’re not real ceramic tiles!
Ezy Peezey 👍
I really enjoyed laying these. They have a super strong stick, but you still have a decent amount of time to pull up and adjust before they’re stuck down for good. Jake was super helpful and answered all 100 of my questions so I felt confident laying them.
These were a last ditch effort to make my small ensuite enjoyable before inevitably gutting the whole lot and starting again. Which will be expensive and is definitely a future me problem.
The hardest part for me was cutting out the circle for the drain hole in the middle of a tile. After ruining a few tiles I finally did one that I was happy with, and I still managed to end up with a few tiles left over with no other real mistakes. They’re sticking well, seem sturdy, although only time will tell and it only took me a couple of hours to do.
My only complaint is that there’s a lot of colour variation between each tile and the patterns don’t match up regardless of weather or not I used tiles from the same box or followed the arrows on the back. Thankfully you can’t really tell until you get up close. So I would suggest getting an extra packet to give you some be ability to fiddle around with all the tiles to make sure they line up with the surrounding tiles. I also used a vinyl roller to make sure everything was stuck down properly once I was happy with where they were placed.
Super cute pattern, easy and quick DIY. Would absolutely recommend
Really impressed! Easy to fit and they look great! Wanted to glow up my laundry without spending a fortune.
